PINKIE PROMISE Chapter 1 Secrets

Every named secret interaction in Chapter 1 — the barn window, the splashed Applejack, the spare-key room, Gummy and the rest — with what triggers each and what the evidence actually covers.

Chapter 1 hides a layer of optional interactions underneath the story route — moments you trigger on purpose by talking to the wrong pony, taking a detour, or breaking one of Pinkie’s rules. The official proof the system exists is the Scrapbook Complete badge: “Every secret in Chapter 1. She keeps a page about you too.” What the game never publishes is how many secrets there are. The fullest community list names nine interactions between the barn and the party table, and the official badge list adds one more (Say Cheese) that the community list misses entirely. This page maps every named interaction to its scene, marks which triggers are corroborated by gameplay recordings and which rest on a single community source, and covers the two secret set-pieces — Pinkie’s room and Gummy — in full.

How secrets work in Chapter 1

Secrets are not pickups — there is nothing to carry and no inventory to fill. Each secret is an interaction performed at a specific point in the story: a conversation option, a repeated action, or a deliberate rule-break. Completing them feeds the scrapbook system that the Scrapbook Complete badge caps. Because the game logs several of them as badges of their own — Somepony at the Window, Angry Applejack, Somepony on the Train, Not Fire!, Broken Promise, Say Cheese — your Roblox profile doubles as a progress tracker for the set.

Two practical notes from the sources worth keeping in mind. First, most secrets happen during scenes you would otherwise rush through: the loft window while Applejack talks, the train carriage between stations, the party table before you sit down. Second, a secret interaction and a story objective are different plans for the same visit — trying to do both in one pass is how players get caught hiding with unfinished chores.

The secret interactions, scene by scene

The table collects every named interaction: the nine from the community’s secret-locations list, plus Say Cheese from the official badge list. The “Evidence” column is honest about how well each trigger is documented — recordings here means the interaction’s line or scene appears in independent full playthrough captures, not that every trigger step has been frame-verified.

Three entries deserve their context spelled out. Wrong Answer plays at the promise scene: instead of saying “Cross my heart and hope to fly,” keep refusing — the recordings capture Pinkie’s escalation (“Good one. You’re such a goofy goober. Okay, for reals this time… Say it.”) until she declares “Wrong answer.” I Dare You happens right before the finale: the party sequence records the line “Poke me one more time. I dare you.” followed by “I’ll remember that” — provocation has a memory. Say Cheese is the odd one out: it has an official badge and a captured line from the party-table sequence, but no community source places the camera interaction, so nobody has documented where to stand when Pinkie says it.

The secret room: spare key and clues

The biggest secret in the bakery is a room the promise explicitly forbids: Pinkie’s own room upstairs. The story eventually hands you the excuse — the spare-key objective — and the sequence has three steps. While the objective is active, search the dresser by the big bed and take the actual key; knowing where the door is means nothing without the item. Use the key at the locked private-room entrance. Then examine what’s inside: read the cupcake recipe and inspect the pictures on the wall. Both are story clues, and the investigation objective wants the room examined, not just entered.

The catch is that the room’s owner checks on it. The recordings capture the sequence from her side — “Is some pony in my room?” followed by a pause and a “No pony in here” — so stay out of sight while she looks, then finish examining and get back to the checklist. The walkthrough’s spare-key section covers this as part of the main route; the reason it belongs on a secrets page too is that the recipe and the pictures are the chapter’s clearest piece of the “secret ingredient” foreshadowing.

Gummy: the welcome committee

Gummy is the alligator Pinkie introduces during the Sugarcube Corner welcome — “the welcome committee,” she calls him, with the line “That’s his excited face.” The interaction is deliberately unscheduled: approach his encounter and let it play out. Pinkie explains that he “only gums ponies he likes,” and that he lives in the walls and the vents, gets everywhere, and hears everything. Then he’s gone.

The wiki’s framing is the useful part: this is a character reaction, not a task — there is nothing to carry to a mixing bowl and no route to follow into the walls. If you are replaying specifically for Gummy, reach the bakery with the encounter in mind and let the introduction run; the community’s Spin Cycle entry for the interaction sits in the same moment.

Secrets, badges and the scrapbook

The overlap between secrets and badges is nearly one-to-one: of the ten interactions in the table, six share their name with a badge on the official list, and the remaining four (Spin Cycle, Wrong Answer, Creature of Habit, plus the secret room’s investigation) belong to the scrapbook layer the Scrapbook Complete badge measures. That badge — 222 awards as of October 24, 2026 — is the rarest in the game, which tells you two things at once: the set is hard to finish, and no source has published a definitive count that anyone has verified against it.

So treat the table above as the current community map, not a closed checklist. If an interaction is missing from the list, the most likely places to look are the ones the sources flag as thin: the party and dining objects, and the locked or blocked routes that reactivate after objectives change.

Planning a secrets replay

The fan secrets guide’s advice is the right shape: give each replay one specific secret goal instead of sweeping every room without a target. The barn-window conversation, Gummy’s encounter, or a deliberate reaction to Pinkie’s promise are all one-visit goals — and the recordings show secret interactions retriggering on second runs, so nothing on the list is once-per-save. Keep ordinary story progress as a separate goal, and check the badges page afterward to see which of the named interactions registered on your profile.

Secret questions

How many secrets are in PINKIE PROMISE Chapter 1?

No official total exists. The community list names 9 interactions across the farm, train, forest and bakery, and the official badge list adds Say Cheese on top of those — but only the Scrapbook Complete badge defines the real count, and at 222 awards almost nobody has finished the set yet. Chapter updates have added badges before, so the map can grow.

Where is the secret room in PINKIE PROMISE?

Upstairs at Sugarcube Corner — Pinkie’s own room, the one the promise tells you not to enter. When the spare-key objective activates, search the dresser by the big bed, take the key, unlock her door, and examine the cupcake recipe and the pictures inside. She comes to check on the room partway through, so stay out of sight until she leaves.
